Principal's Message

Parkview High School Families,

We have had a great start to the 2025-2026 school year. We appreciate your help and support ensuring our Viking Leaders are set up for success.

Please join us on Thursday night at JFK Stadium for Homecoming! Gates open at 6:00.

As a reminder, class begins and the late bell rings at 8:10 each day (8:40 on Wednesday). All students must be in class and ready to learn by the time the bell rings. We have many late arrivals to school. We need your help to ensure all students arrive before 8:10 daily (8:40 on Wednesday). All students are expected to maintain an attendance percentage of 90% for the 2025-2026 school year. All absences, late arrivals and early checkouts count against your student's yearly attendance percentage. Help us meet our school goal by showing up on time to class and ready to learn daily!

GO VIKINGS!!

Thank you,

Mrs. Brown

Principal

Viking Leaders - Behavior Expectations

Your help and support in guiding positive behaviors is critical to the success of our school. We appreciate your partnership as we work to support the needs of all students. Please take time to review our classroom expectations with your student.

Please note: Any student who receives discipline resulting in and in-school and/or out of school suspension (ISS/OSS) will not be able to participate in school dances and will not have the opportunity to be exempt from final exams at the end of each semester.

Student ID Badges

To ensure safety for all, PHS students and staff are required to wear identification badges at all times while in the building. There are exceptions for certain classes and activities as directed by the teacher. ID Badges serve a variety of purposes; to identify all persons on campus, to scan for purchasing food/drink items in the cafeteria, and as a way to check-out books from the PHS library. Additionally, all students must wear their school ID badge for entry to any SPS athletic event.

Students will be issued an ID on the first day of school during the first and second semester at no cost. Should a student need an additional badge, they must pay for a replacement prior to receiving a new ID.

Replacement costs are as follows: ID Badge-$3, lanyard-$2. Students may pay the $5 fee at the financial office.

Financial Office

Fines & Fees may be paid in the PHS Financial Office or through the My School Bucks App. Students/parents will need to set up an account through the My School Bucks App or visit the website at MySchoolBucks.com. Once an account is set up, you will be able to pay fines/fees, purchase parking permits, activity/athletic passes, and pay for participation fees.

Please note Student Activity Passes are $10 for all Parkview athletic events that are held on all SPS facilities for the 2025-2026 school year. A stadium icon will be placed on the student’s ID.

If you have any questions, please contact the PHS Financial Secretary, Tammy Miller at 417-523-9203.

Student Parking & Drop-Off/Pick-Up

  • Students must park in the North lot along Meadowmere (between Parkview and the park) or in the West lot along Grant Street (between Parkview and JFK Stadium).
  • Students should not park in parking spaces with designated signage.
  • Please enter the designated drop-off lane along Meadowmere and proceed forward slowly. Students may be dropped off at the front of the school at Door 1 or Door 28.
