September Issue 2015

A Message From The President

Dear ISES Greater Philadelphia Members,
I am both honored and humbled to have the opportunity to once again serve you as the Greater Philadelphia Chapter President. As the founding chapter of the International Special Events Society, we have an exceptional responsibility to represent and advance our industry, and the 2015-2016 Board of Directors are excited to strive toward this mission.

We begin this chapter year with the opportunity to build on our recent success. Our membership is once again growing quickly, average monthly meeting attendance is increasing, and our reserve funds are being allocated to increase member benefits. Perhaps the most exhilarating aspect of entering the new year is welcoming a fresh set of leaders to the Board of Directors. Our leadership team is comprised of established individuals from all facets of the special events industry. Together, we look forward to serving you.

As the Philadelphia region prepares to welcome the world for upcoming events like the World Meeting of Families and the 2016 Democratic National Convention, there has never been a more exciting time to be a part of ISES! As the principle association representing creative event professionals, be assured that our chapter is the place to turn to for:
  • Collaborative networking opportunities where relationships are formed and ideas are born
  • Relevant educational content that will prepare you and your business for success
  • Professional development and scholarship opportunities
  • Inspiration
  • Outward awareness and credibility both locally and globally
Your elected board is energized and ready to provide you with a fantastic year. We also want to hear from you so please feel free to reach out. Email us at info@isesphila.com with your comments, questions, and ideas.  If you have not yet renewed your ISES Membership, please do so at www.ises.com. We promise that this will be one of the most inspirational and educational years yet!

ISES Out On The Town! Nantucket Clam Bake at The National Constitution Center
Our annual summer networking kick off with the PHL CVB was a hit! This one of a kind New England Clam Bake themed event was hosted by Brulee catering and The National Constitution Center. Not only was it a successful networking event, guests were invited to explore the legacy of Camelot! To view pictures of this unique event, you can visit the ISES  photo gallery.
We hope you enjoyed the September issue of the International Special Events Society's newsletter!
