Dear Friends of The CARE Center,

Happy September! As the school year gains momentum and the first signs of fall appear, we’re excited to reflect on the incredible events and initiatives we’ve shared with our community this past month. Our after-school programs are in full swing, providing local students with enriching opportunities to grow, learn, and build lasting friendships in a supportive environment.

In addition to our many community programs, we hosted “Don’t Fret, Just Prep”, an empowering event for high school students and their parents. This day offered valuable insights into career paths, internships, and financial planning for college. It was a day of inspiration and learning, and we’re so grateful to all who participated and supported this wonderful event!

Now, we’re finally just a couple of weeks away from one of our most anticipated events of the year—the Gregg Berens Memorial, I Golf Because I CARE Fundraising Tournament on October 11th! The excitement is building, and we can’t wait to see you at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course for a day of fun, friendly competition, and meaningful support for The CARE Center’s mission. Whether you plan to play, sponsor, or volunteer, now is the time to act!

We were thrilled to host Don’t Fret, Just Prep this month, an empowering event that brought together the community for a day of workshops and insights. Students and parents gained valuable knowledge on career paths, internships, and financial planning for college, while connecting with local employers eager to support the next generation. 

It was a fantastic day of learning, inspiration, and collaboration, and we couldn’t be more grateful to the dedicated parents, students, and community partners who made it all possible!
