Here for the latest news on the Humane Society of Tuolumne County? You are in the right place!

For this month’s newsletter, we would like to take you back to August and recap on all of the fun events we have been so grateful to be part of. While we are at it, let’s update you on everything we have planned for September. Don’t forget to check out this month’s highlighted adoptable pet too!

Pepper is a very special boy. This five-year-old retriever mix lost his home when his person passed away and we would love to find him a new loving home. He has a lot to offer if he is just given a chance!

Pepper can be shy but it is not hard to gain his trust, and once you do, he is extremely affectionate, loving, and loyal towards you. Pepper is highly food motivated and very responsive to reinforcement-based training. We've learned he's very smart and already knows the basics and house-training skills. Pepper's only ask is that he be the only dog in the home and no young children since he's nervous in loud settings.

Join us for a fun afternoon filled with great food, fantastic wine, a wine raffle, and a silent auction full of local favorites!

Order your tickets online as seats are limited for this much anticipated event.

This month we had the opportunity to host a paint party to support shelter pets alongside the Motherlode Art Association! Thank you so much to the Motherlode Art Association and our guests for making this event possible and assisting us in our mission to uplift unhoused pets. You all helped raise over $1800 for local shelter pets!

We ❤️ adoption updates.

There’s no better feeling than knowing the dogs and cats who’ve walked out of our doors and into their forever homes are out there, living their very best lives.

Those happy stories are the heart of everything we do, and they often inspire others who might be considering adoption (for the first, fifth, or fifteenth time!) to take the leap.

So if you’ve got a story about an adoption that changed your life for the better, we’d love to hear it! Send us a few snippets of your new life together—photos, videos, and stories are all encouraged—at happytails@hsotc.org. We can’t wait to see your updates!
