The Little Tea Library
Our Seed Library was a big hit this season, but it's time to switch things up!
We're excited to announce that we'll now be offering a Tea Library!
We know that many of our patrons are tea lovers, and we want to provide a space for them to try new blends and share their favorites with others.
If you're like some of our staff and have an abundance of tea to share, we'd love to take your donation!
Donations must be unexpired, unopened loose leaf, or individually wrapped and sealed bags with ingredients clearly labeled.
We want to ensure that our Tea Library is stocked with the best quality teas for everyone to enjoy.
So, come on in and try a new tea today!

West Barnstable Citizen of the Year 2023- George Zoto!
We are thrilled to announce that George Zoto has been named our Citizen of the Year 2023!
This award recognizes his outstanding contributions to the community and his unwavering dedication to improving the quality of life for the residents of West Barnstable and the Town.
George's volunteer activities have had a direct impact on the environment and clean drinking water, and his commitment to these causes is exceptional. He has served on numerous committees and boards, including the Town's Planning Board, the Local Planning Committee, the West Barnstable Civic Association, the School Committee, and the Shellfish Committee.
We are grateful for George's tireless efforts and are honored to celebrate his achievements. Congratulations, George, on this well-deserved recognition as our Citizen of the Year 2023!

Gale Home Improvement
Did something break around the house? Maybe the kitchen needs a new cabinet? Or something worse…did a window break? I know I wouldn’t be ready to support the local squirrel population that could take advantage of the newly created open door policy.
The Gale Home Improvement resources that are available through the Whelden Memorial Library can help you fix it up yourself! Avoid all those extra costs and be proud to show off your new window! Recently, I was playing catch with my nephew. Thing is, I’m not very good at a game of catch and I missed a fast ball which found itself flying through the basement window. All I could think about is how upset my partner would be! But luckily there are free resources provided by Whelden that can help. I found the Gale Home Improvement database on their website and searched “window replacement”. They had so many magazine articles! I went through a few of them and gathered up enough information so that I could find the necessary materials and put a whole new window in! My partner never even knew.
Now instead of spending tons of money and being nervous about my partner noticing it, I found myself showing off the window! I was so proud that I did it myself. But in truth, I didn't do it myself. I am simply lucky enough to have access to information through the Whelden Memorial Library. I now know where to go when something around the house goes wrong!

Gale U.S. History
The US History database in Gale pages is a wonderful resource for anyone interested in exploring and studying various aspects of United States history. The database contains a wealth of information, documents, articles, and resources that cover a wide range of historical events, figures, and topics related to the United States.
Whether you're a student, researcher, educator, or simply someone interested in delving into the past of the United States, the Gale Pages US History database can be incredibly valuable. The database offers a comprehensive collection of materials that span time periods from the colonial era to modern times.
Gale's primary source documents offer archives and digitized collections that provide researchers with firsthand content, including American editorials, news, and reports. Its secondary source articles explore a wide range of topics, including political history, social movements, cultural developments, economic changes, military conflicts, and more.
What I really appreciate about Gale pages is that it is very user-friendly and allows users to search for information efficiently and navigate through the content easily.
I highly recommend looking through the amazing resources in the US History database. I was researching for this write-up and found myself looking over a photograph of the title page from a Western Colonization pamphlet dated May 1804 from Arau, Switzerland with explanations and sample contracts for German-Speaking emigrants wishing to purchase land in America. If you are a history lover like myself this stuff is fascinating!

NAMI - Ending the Silence

Green Burial Information Session
