September Highlight: MAVerick Mobile

Music Studio Unveiling

We were thrilled to unveil our MAVerick Studio Live! Bus at our Greater Newark Boys & Girls Club! As a continuation of our MAVerick program, the bus will travel across the state, allowing youth everywhere to create their own songs, podcasts and beats using the state-of-the-art equipment. These efforts will encourage youth to develop prevention focused media messaging. You can follow along on Instagram at @MAVerickStudioLive

Program Feature: Another Successful Summer Fun Club

Over 2,200 youth enjoyed a jam-packed summer filled with field trips, swimming, special guests and lots of activities at our Clubs throughout Delaware. Staff members and volunteers worked tirelessly to provide programs like BookNook and Reading is Fundamental to help prevent summer learning loss in our youth, in addition to programs like TriplePlay that engaged members in heart-healthy activities. Take a look at our Summer Fun Club photo album to see some of the highlights! Photo Album

Club Activity: Western Sussex Club Hosts

Ag Fair and Community Market

As a way to spread awareness about their mini-farm and offerings, our Western Sussex Club held an Ag Fair & Community Market. Local Vendors sold honey, handmade crafts, and baked goods while other organizations promoted their community resources. Live music and festivities engaged attendees, and free food and drinks were provided by the Cafe program at the Club.
