The Summit
Dear District 18 Toastmasters,

Congratulations to District 18's very own Aaron Beverly, the new World Champion of Public Speaking!

On Top of the World, Literally!

Our very own speaker reached the pinnacle of his speaking career. In sunny Aurora Colorado, which is 5,403 feet above sea level, Aaron’s performance has left us floating on cloud 88, as this was the 88th annual World Championship.

We would like to congratulate all of the speakers as they delivered heart felt, influential and humorous stories. We didn’t let a small dose of altitude sickness or jet lag stop us from continuing Toastmasters legacy of creating the worlds best speakers and leaders. The long journey down I-70 definitely paid off for all of District 18 as we crown the 2019 World Champion of Public Speaking. #d18Teamlift

International conventions offer you the opportunity to meet people from all over the globe that have something mountainous, I mean momentous in common with you.

At the same time you get to witness in person the finest speakers ever, all coming together to find out who is best. There is still so much to be excited for because now it’s your turn. The World Championship happens every year and now you have the chance to practice the sport, by competing in the Humorous Speech and Evaluations Contests. Competing forces you to be your best as your competition will surely bring theirs! Dare to enter the club contest. If you win, you will then begin the journey of the World Champion. Better is ever distant, you can get better but you will never catch it.

Reach the peak of your potential.
