PREPARING CITIES FOR THE FUTURE
The future comes more quickly every day. Technologists often describe this phenomenon as an exponential growth curve – with each technological advancement building on the previous advancement and occurring at an ever-increasing rate. Facing rapid change, it can be difficult for cities to anticipate and adapt to new economic forces. Communities that do not invest in their  technological infrastructure education systems , and  quality of place , however, risk being left behind in the years ahead.

AVALANCHE IN ACTION
It's finally fall, and we're thrilled to see the leaves changing and the return of college football!

This month, Chris and John traveled to Toledo, OH to start a talent alignment strategy for the Toledo Chamber, and had a fun evening cheering for the Mud Hens. Tony spent a fun two days in West Palm Beach, FL unveiling the results of the City's new economic development study. We also put the finishing touches on the Elevate Strategy - a five-year eco dev plan for the seven-county Jacksonville, FL region. We are going to miss our regular trips to that beautiful community. John and Amy had an action-packed time in Columbus OH, where they met Brutus Buckeye. Next, Amy was at the GEDA Annual Conference, where she moderated a panel on the Atlanta Regional Commission's CATLYST strategy with key partners. We ended the month at the Ag & Animal Science Conference in Willmar, MN, where Tony spoke about the future of the agricultural economy. Here are a few photos of our team in action:
