East Coast Industry Forum to Focus on Advance Manufacturing & Workforce Development

The German American Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Capitol Region Council of Governments and the Metro Hartford Alliance, will hold its annual  East Coast Industry Forum (ECIF). This year the ECIF will take place in Hartford, CT, and feature  Governor Dannel Malloy as keynote speaker.

The themes of the ECIF will be Advanced Manufacturing and Workforce Development. Connecticut is the location for modern manufacturing and innovative industries. As products have become more sophisticated, so have production methods. Factories are evolving into centers for cutting-edge technologies, high-tech informatics and digital solutions. As a result, manufacturers face the need for a new generation of specialized technicians with the skills and savvy to work with advanced processes in today's "smart" factories.

The ECIF will be a platform for representatives of business, government and education in Connecticut to come together and take action on these cutting-edge topics
