Kids Church Current Series
This month at Lakeside Kids we are doing an outrageous series called, “The New Normal”, where we are learning that following God is anything BUT normal! Each week we will use Costume Characters, Puppets, Games, and Object Lessons to teach our kids what God thinks “normal” should look like. Make sure your kids are a part of this awesome series! Lakeside Kids meets in the gym every Sunday at 10AM, where the kids are taken to their age appropriate Sunday School classrooms. Then at 11AM all ages (K-6
th
Grade) meet back together for praise, worship, altar time, and a lesson that they’ll never forget. You don’t want to miss what’s happening, so make sure your kids are a part of September’s series: “The New Normal”!

Royal Rangers
CALLING ALL BOYS!! Uncle Sam wants YOU to join Royal Rangers! Every Wednesday from 7-9 PM we have a mentorship program for our elementary aged boys called “Royal Rangers”. We teach skills like hiking, camping, building bonfires, rope tying, and more… all while incorporating teaching from God’s Word! We just finished our annual PINEWOOD DERBY, with our very own Luke Morency taking first place! If you have young boys in your household, then we couldn’t encourage you more to bring them out on Wednesdays and have them be a part of Lakeside’s Royal Rangers! We hope to see you there!

MPACT Girls
Hey Girls! You just read about Royal Rangers, but eww boys are gross! You need a place JUST FOR YOU! Come on out and be a part of Lakeside’s MPACT Girls Club Wednesday nights from 7-9PM. This program, designed for elementary age girls, teaches valuable life skills like cooking, crafts, sewing, (and the occasional nerf gun war!), while also teaching valuable truths from the Word of God! This is a great opportunity to make some friends, grow in God, and be a part of something awesome! We hope to see you there!

Once a month we host a special kids church service dedicated to missions! We support the Assemblies of God Ministry group called BGMC (Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge) by getting missions into the hearts of kids at a young age!

Here at Lakeside Student Nation, we don’t believe in just having fun and making friends. We believe in experiencing God in a powerful and lifechanging way! But what’s next? What’s next when you’ve encountered the presence of the Living God, and His Spirit is flowing through you? What’s next?... What’s next is that you take a STAND for God in your schools, your workplaces, and your neighborhoods, and you take the light that’s been put inside you, and you shine it for the world to see! During the month of September, we are reading through the book of Daniel, and will be learning about 4 Hebrew boys who risked it all when they decided to STAND OUT for God! So Join us every Wednesday in September for the powerful series titled: “STAND OUT!”

Grade, or anywhere in between, then we have a place for you! Our small groups meet every Wednesday during the youth group to take on life together. Here at Lakeside Student Nation, we believe that life is better together, and we are determined to make sure that our people aren’t just people that
go to
church, but that we ARE the church… the body of believers; the family of God! Small groups are our way of doing that. If you are looking for a place to meet people, make friends, and grow in your relationship with God, then come on out this Wednesday at 7PM and find out just how easy it is here to find where you belong!

graders, but we are extending it to our “United” Young adult ministry as well, so basically if you consider yourself young enough (or old enough) to have a wild time canoeing and BBQing, then this invite is for you! All summer long our young people have been competing to win the ultimate prize… an overnight retreat to the greatest waterpark in the Mid West… KALAHARI! We will be taking the winning rave group team to Kalahari on November 8

Bread of Life | September 14
One Saturday each month, Lakeside goes to downtown Detroit to help the homeless. Volunteers prepare food to feed those in need in the area. We also bring clothing, hygiene products, Bibles, love and smiles. Join us in serving the homeless, giving them encouragement and praying with them. Lives are changed as the love of Jesus is shown!

Lakeside will provide gas at a gas station for $1 less per gallon for all guests; we will pump gas all day long until 10,000 gallons has been used; each car will be served with acts of kindness; but best of all each driver/passenger will be invited to Lakeside, Edge of Eternity and to know Jesus!

Pastor Phil & Becky Krist's son Jon & Tayren Krist were the Youth and Young Adult Pastors (6 years total) at Shoreline Community Church in the Southern California beach town of San Clemente, California. They are presently launching a new church in San Clemente (a Jan.2020 launch) called Zion. On a weekly basis, they have been conducting prayer meetings, beach and homeless ministry in preparation for the Zion Launch. More than 250 attended their first Worship & Vision night for Zion, held in an Elks Lodge. Their Young Adult ministry was radically changed with an emphasis on experiencing the Presence of God. They are making "Passion for God's Presence" a cornerstone of their Zion vision.
Jon and Tayren Krist will be ministering in both Solid Rock Cafe (9:00 am in Lakeside's Chapel) and the Main Worship Service (10:00 am). Jon and Tayren will share their Vision of launching Zion a full Gospel church in San Clemente, California. Their Vision is to "See the lost saved and the saved ignited with the love and power of Jesus." Hear their testimony of Encountering the life-changing power of God's Presence!

Hospital Care
James 5:14-15 "Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up."
We believe and continually see the power of prayer here at Lakeside. If you have an upcoming surgery or health need please let us knowso we can lift you up in prayer. Once we are notified of a need it is shared with our Prayer Chain, Tuesday Prayer Team, and Lakeside Leadership.
We will also minister to you before surgery. We have a Hospital Care team of Lay Ministers and Elders that help the Pastors by visiting hospitals and nursing homes every week. Once home after a hospital stay, our Lay Ministers will call you weekly to pray with you. If you want to keep a need private just notify the Pastors.
If you have an emergency please let us know. One of the Pastors or Hospital Care Team will do their best to come and pray with you.
