COVID...
Updated Mask Policy
DCFS is now mandating mask be used by all adults and children 2 years and over. We are now required, not just encouraged, to follow this rule. Masks must be worn at all times tolerable except during meal times and while playing outside. If you have not done so already, please provide us with a mask for your child aged 2 and up.
Please place a mask on your child before entering the building in the morning.

Family Pledge:
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases are rising in McLean County. Please continue to be mindful of your pledge to KKLC. We can not keep our children safe without you and your dedication to health and safety. You can help by doing the following:
  1. Continue to take precautions to limit your exposure as you move about in the community.
  2. Wash your hands often and wear your mask in group settings.
  3. If your child or someone in your household shows sign of illness, please use a cautious approach when deciding to send your child to school.
  4. If someone in your household shows signs of COVID-19 and needs to be tested, please keep your children at home until the results are known.
School Age...
The month of August brought us some emotional good-byes to our kindergarten friends. We wish them the best at their new schools. With this school year looking a little different, some of our friends moved into our online learning instruction. We are excited to see where this adventure goes.
Health Corner...
Food Allergies in Children
Most food allergies are caused by eight foods: cow's milk, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts, shellfish, fish, soy and wheat. Unlike food intolerance food allergies are caused by your immune system incorrectly identifying some of the proteins in food as harmful.

In order to keep all children safe at Katie's Kids please wash your child's hands and face after breakfast to ensure that all children are safe upon entering our building.
