Bereavement Support Group and Sepsis Awareness Awareness Month
September Newsletter
Our Next Bereavement Support group Starts Tuesday, 9/10!
"The Journey Through Loss & Grief" is the theme for the fall bereavement support group session. Meetings are in person at the Plymouth Senior Center from 10:30am-12:00pm. Registration Required for the six week session.
Sepsis Awareness month is a critical time to raise awareness about a condition that claims the lives of over 350,000 adults in the U.S. every year-more than opioid overdoses, breast cancer and prostate cancer combined.
We are committed to educating our community on the dangers of sepsis and the importance of early detection and prevention.
Pemi-Baker’s Hospice program is fortunate to have volunteers to support our patients, care givers and programming. Medicare recognizes the importance of treating the whole person, not just their medical disease, as part of the Hospice experience, which is why a robust team of individuals are involved in Hospice care.
Volunteers are an integral part of Hospice providing unconditional support to patients and care givers based on the volunteer’s availability, comfort and training.
Free training is provided by Pemi-Baker staff to any person interested in learning what Hospice volunteering looks like and how it can fit into their life. Hospice volunteers have created wonderful memories and keepsakes for patients and their care givers.
