Nerd Prom Recap

We had another successful Nerd Prom! Twenty-three 4th, 5th, and 6th graders joined us as we had an exciting time of fellowship. We celebrated how God has uniquely designed each one of us for His glory.

Kidz Choir

So far, we have 26 K-6th graders participating in Kidz Choir! We have room for more if your child would like to participate! We are preparing for a Christmas musical on December 4th. Rehearsals are on Sunday nights from 6pm-7pm, during Sunday evening worship service.

Family Sunday School Guide
Parents! We’ve created a resource to help you engage with your student in conversation about what they are learning in Sunday School! Head over to www.ibcbenton.com/familyresources and download a copy of our Family Sunday School Guide! We hope this is a blessing to you and your family as you disciple your student!

Community Groups have started back! This is a great opportunity for your student to mature in their relationship with King Jesus as they study God’s Word with their peers. All students are meeting at 15683 Rose Road, and they are studying what it means to “Experience God.”

We’ve also got a parent community group this fall as well! We will be encouraging one another to have a “God-sized vision” for our families as we study the Scriptures and read Visionary Parenting. We are meeting at 1003 S Main Street.

See You at the Pole (SYATP) is on September 28th this year! See You at the Pole is simply a prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. Your student will want to check with their Christian organization on their campus (FCA, FCS, etc.) for the time.

That night, we will have a SYATP Post-Pole rally in the youth room from 6:30-8:00 PM with games, giveaways, worship, and an evangelistic message. This will be a great chance for your student to invite their lost friends!

Fall Retreat is October 28th-30th at Lake Sallateeska Baptist Camp!! This year's theme is "The Pause.” In The Pause we'll learn how to pray, how to memorize Scripture, and how to study specific passages of the Bible. Essentially, we'll learn how to develop the habits that will lead us into a vibrant relationship with Christ. The cost is $55 per student, and there are discounts for families with multiple students! Register online today at www.ibcbenton.com/events!

Adopt a College Student

We’re making plans for our Adopt a College Student ministry this upcoming school year! If you have a college student, or if your student just graduated high school, you can sign up your student to be a part of this ministry at www.ibcbenton.com/college. Through this ministry we connect each college student with an adult from our church who will periodically keep in contact with them through various ways (cards, phone calls/texts, care packages, etc.) just to remind them that someone from home loves and cares about them!

If you are interested in adopting a college student please fill out the form at the link above! You can write a college student a note, send them a care package with school needs, or even send them a gift card to their favorite restaurant (what college student doesn’t love free food!). Contact Pastor Casey if you have any questions!
