Hello all!

Welcome to another monthly newsletter! Fall is just about here. We are reopen for weekend masses and have reopened the office. We are also excited to be beginning our Faith Formation and Youth Ministry programs this month, find registration below. Next we are happy to welcome Deacon Jeff Greer to our parish. Be sure to read the whole newsletter for the latest updates.

Welcome Deacon Jeff Greer!
We are excited to welcome Back Deacon Jeff Greer to our Parish. He has been appointed to serve our parish as Permanent Deacon. We are excited to have him and looking forward to working with him.
Reopening Update
Open for Weekend Masses and Office Open.
We are happy to be open for weekend masses. We have masses for 100 people on Saturday at 5pm and Sunday at 10am. We are continuing to require masks for all. This allows us to welcome the most people back while helping keep our community safe and healthy.

We have opened our office from 9am-2pm. masks and social distancing are required. Not all the staff will be available at the office on a given day. If you are trying to reach a specific staff member please call ahead or email them. All contact info is available on our website here.

Volunteer Now!

With more masses, we will need additional volunteers to make sure they run smoothly and to not over work our current volunteers. We have a variety of ways you can help.

Thank You for the School Supplies!
Thank You to everyone that donated School Supplies for our Back to School Drive Benefiting Tacoma Rescue Mission. We were able to collect a great amount and they were so thankful.

Faith Formation and Youth Ministry
We are so excited to be kicking off our programs this month. Our Programs for Faith Formation and Youth Ministry will be kicking off the weekend of September 19th. Read more about our Programs below and register using the buttons below.
We are so excited to be starting our program. We will be using Pflaum Gospel Weeklies in a hybrid program of at home teaching, family events and grade level events, both virtual and in person. we will have our Kick Off weekend September 17-19. With a drive thru event Friday the 17th, In person events September 18th and 19th.and a virtually event Sunday Afternoon. For more details be sure to register here or email Cassie.
We are so excited to be kicking off Youth Ministry this Month. I am planning on having weekly meetings and a variety of events through out the year. These opportunities being in person or virtual to best serve our community. Our first topic of the year will be the eucharist where we will be using Archbishops be fed series to learn more and discuss our beliefs. Sacramental Prep
We will be starting Sacramental Prep for First Communion and Confirmation in October.

For Students 2nd grade and up who need to receive First Communion and Reconciliation please register for Faith Formation. You will be receiving additional information this month.

For Students 7th grade and up we will have confirmation prep. To participate please register for Youth Ministry and you will receive additional info this month.

Congratulations and Farewell Mary Lou!
Mary Lou Colasurdo who served as our Pastoral Assistant For Liturgy and RCIA the past 3 years has retired. Join us in wishing her a fond farewell in her retirement and as she moves on to a new chapter in her life.
Annual Catholic Appeal
Thank you to all who have already participated in the Annual Catholic Appeal. We have raised 90% of our goal with just a little of $7,000 to go. If you have yet to make your pledge, there is still time to do so. All pledges and prayers are welcome.

Directed by the five bishops of Washington state, this faith-filled event will be an engaging opportunity to deepen your commitment to the Gospel while mingling with Catholics from across the state. The conference will be held virtually on Saturday, October 30 via the OnAIR virtual event platform.
