CEO CORNER

Dear Norwalk ACTS Partners,

Thank you for the warm welcome as the new CEO of Norwalk ACTS. I am honored and thrilled to lead this great team and collaborate with all of you. In my short time here, I have already witnessed incredible passion and drive to continue the vital work our community and partnerships are creating as we transform systems.

During my listening tour, I've often been asked about my vision for Norwalk ACTS. My consistent response is that our existing mission and vision are perfect:

OUR MISSION: To collectively transform systems by ensuring resources, policies, practices, and power structures actively dismantle racism and drive equitable outcomes for every Norwalk child and young person.

OUR VISION: Norwalk is a connected community where every child and young person thrives academically, physically, and social-emotionally from cradle to career.

This is the ultimate goal of all our efforts. When we speak of collaboration and partnership, it is an acknowledgment that no one can achieve this work alone. We truly need each other, as diversity in voice, experience, and ability is essential to create change that is inclusive of everyone.

I look forward to being together at our quarterly convening on September 30th. Mark your calendars for this important conversation, where we will discuss how Norwalk ACTS is aligning with state and national visions by focusing on three key milestones. Through our community's impact, we aim to contribute to putting 4 million children nationwide on a path to economic and social mobility by 2030.

P.S. Sign the NEW MOA and become a member of Norwalk ACTS today!

CORNERSTONE UPDATES

Ray Leslie, our Senior Data Analyst presents to national cohort of Data Leads

Ray Leslie presented at StriveTogether's Advanced Data Leads Community of Practice meeting - a space for partnerships in Systems Change or Systems Transformation Gateways to collaborate and share best practices.

Ray provided an overview of Norwalk ACTS' Early Childhood Development Initiative, shared examples of how Norwalk ACTS is engaging the community in its Early Childhood work, and how Norwalk ACTS, in partnership with University of Hartford Center for Social Research, is compiling longitudinal data across various systems to ensure all Norwalk children are developmentally ready from birth to Kindergarten.

This in-depth conversation about Early Childhood data has sparked further coordination among Data Leads across the country to work together to achieve shared goals.
