Happy September, cooler days and time to get back to regular things.
At the membership meeting on August 27th we completed one more step of the formalities needed to amend our bylaws with four Director-at-Large positions. The members at the meeting recognized Kathy Rae for a one-year Director-at-Large position and Lorie Tate for a two-year Director-at-Large position.
We are recruiting now for a Director-at-Large one-year, a Director-at-Large two-year, a Director of Fundraising one-year, and a Director of Special Events one-year.
Anyone interested? Fill out the form, ask for it at the desk.
This is looking to be a busy month!

How about a shuffleboard tournament?
If you would like to give this a try, a sign-up sheet will be at the desk.
Day trips? We can hire the Beacon Club Van for any trip we would like to do on the Island of course. This has to be arranged with them for a date and time. So first we need to know where and how many would like to go. We did try last year for Nanaimo Casino and shopping but there might be places like the Christmas lights up in Ladysmith or Coombs market. Also a special restaurant or wine tasting at one of our wineries.
A sheet will be at the desk for anyone interested.
Then we can decide what, where and when.
We look forward to some fun times.
Take care, Dot
