Meals to Missions Fundraiser Recap!

Thanks to your generosity, this year’s Meals to Missions campaign was a huge success!

Together, we raised $35,143 to feed children through the

ACFS Children’s Weekend Food Program.

In addition to our fundraising efforts our incredible team of volunteers were able to pack over 10,000 meals to fight hunger here and overseas. Families needing help locally receive almost 25% of these meals with the remaining meals being sent to Ghana to fight hunger in Africa.

We’re so grateful to everyone who gave, packed, and supported—your impact is global and local!

Sunny Bites Summer Program

Since June, ACFS, in partnership with the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama, has provided 22,735 pounds of fresh food to 368 families throughout the summer, helping fill the gap while school was out. Parents shared how meaningful these weekly boxes were, and kids especially loved the bananas and Scooby-Doo snacks! In Talladega County, where 26.4% of children face food insecurity, your support made an impact.

Build a Bag

Tuesday

Back to School time and our Backpack Program is growing! Each Tuesday, volunteers gather at the ACFS Warehouse for 'Build a Bag' Tuesdays where we pack 2,500 weekend food bags for kids. These meals ensure children have food they can count on outside of school. We need extra hands on Tuesdays and would love for you to be a part of this team!
