Center of Excellence to Prepare Teachers of Children of Poverty
2018 Partnership Organization Award
from the National Network of Partnership Schools (NNPS) at Johns Hopkins University. The Center was recognized for making excellent progress in guiding school districts and schools around the state to develop goal-oriented programs of family and community engagement. This is the 11th consecutive year that the Center of Excellence to Prepare Teachers of Children of Poverty has been awarded this prestigious honor.
Many of the Center's partner districts also were recognized for outstanding progress focused on developing goal-oriented programs of family and community engagement in 2017-2018.
Richland District One
was honored with a 2018 Partnership District Award while Florence District One's
earned a 2018 Partnership School Award.
Each year NNPS publishes an annual edition of
Promising Partnership Practices
The Center, along with the
South Carolina State Department of Education
North Vista Elementary
submitted award winning partnership activities that will be featured in the
2019 Promising Partnership Practices
The second chapter of the new edition of
School, Family, and Community Partnerships: Your Handbook for Action, Fourth Edition
