- Due to the current pandemic, Eva Sherman Designs will be hosting mainly online classes for the duration of 2020.
-
Class Fee includes: kit, tutorial, insured postage in continental US, and access to the Zoom class. Please Note: Class fee does not include use of tools, or consumable materials such as solder, butane, LOS, etc.
- Last day to sign up for class will be two weeks prior to class date to allow adequate time to mail kit and tutorial.
- Class will be accessible via zoom: live on the day of class and for 28 days after class.
- Instructor will be available to answer questions during the live class (and for 28 days after class via email only).
- Class size will be limited to 10 students.
- Payment in full at time of registration is required to guarantee a spot in online class.
- No refunds will be issued after kits and tutorials have been mailed.
- All classes on east coast time.

Gallery Wire Beach Glass Ring - Saturday Sept. 5, 2020 (10am - 3pm) |

Use gallery wire to contain a piece of beach glass and to embellish the ring shank. Prerequisites: Previous soldering experience required.

Stix n Stonz Box Ring - Thursday Sept. 24, 2020 (10am - 3pm) |

Create a box ring with a dramatically textured focal element by fusing multiple layers of silver wire to a base. Embellish the focal with tube set CZ’s for added glamour. Students will learn box construction and how to fuse silver without melting, a huge cost and time saver!
Prerequisites: Previous soldering experience required. Rolling mill required.

Metal Clay Alchemy - Friday Sept. 25, 2020 (10am - 1pm) |

If you prefer a bit of rough in your designs, creating rings with metal clay may be right up your alley! In this class students will create 2 rings using a PMC3 syrnge, while adding faceted stones, and tube bezels. Students will also learn to allow for shrinkage to be sure their rings are the right size.

Mastering Low Tech Casting From Home

Create a cuff bracelet with jump rings, wire, tube bezels, and faceted CZ's. By emphasizing positive and negative space as a design element, the jump rings give the cuff an airy beauty. They also minimize the amount of metal needed, making the bracelet comfortably lightweight and economical to produce.
Prerequisites: Previous soldering experience required. Rolling mill required.

Using the concept of 'zentangling' (aka controlled doodling); students will create an extremely comfortable, wearable, one-of-a-kind cuff. Each student will draw a unique design to be replicated in 14 ga. sterling silver wire, and embellished with tube set CZ's. Use of positive/negative space as a design element, plus the economy provided by wire, allows students to create larger pieces without the traditional limitations of cost and weight. Students will learn design, soldering, stone setting, and finishing techniques.
Prerequisites: Previous soldering experience required. Rolling mill required.
