“With a Little Help from My Friends,” I am pleased to report that we have created a very exciting Brandeis season beginning this Fall. Start marking your calendars.
On Saturday, October 8, we invite all our members to a Wine and Cheese party to be held in Sun City, Palm Desert. This will be a wonderful chance to greet friends who have been away or simply hibernating from the heat. After two years of Covid isolation, it’s my guess that our membership is ready to enjoy a good reunion. A proper flyer detailing all the information and registration is included in this newsletter. This event is free to all members and prospective members. The party starts at 4:00 p.m.
Friday, October 21, our Brandeis Season Preview luncheon will be held at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa. We have ordered a wonderful lunch including a high calorie dessert. It will be a great opportunity to socialize with friends, find out about all the stimulating study groups and the new Women’s Forum featuring health and welfare lectures. I know that no one will want to miss our first big event of the new season.
In early November, a New Members’ Coffee will be announced when all details are finalized. If you know of a friend who might be interested in all that Brandeis has to offer, please feel free to bring them. Our coffees are notoriously wonderful.
On Tuesday, December 6, raise your pinkie and come to our Holiday High Tea to be held in the Oasis Room at Del Webb Sun City in Palm Desert. Feel free to diet before coming to enjoy homemade scones, pastries, and tea sandwiches. I’m going to wear a frilly hat! Teatime will be 4 p.m. Be prepared for an elegant time. A pretty flyer will be sent to give registration information.
