Bar code scanning - touchless tickets
What are show notes and why would I use them?
May I? Setting and editing permissions
Don't let those emails keep bouncing
"Operator, can you help me make this call" to the support team?
Touchless ticketing is here to stay
Covid has changed our world in many ways. One way is the permanent demand for touchless transactions. You see it in retail operations, on airplane boarding passes, and, increasingly, in theatre and movie ticketing.

Did you know we make a companion software to let you scan your patrons' QR codes at the door instead of presenting regular printed tickets?

It's called Scantix and it works with common smart phones and with dedicated scanners we sell as a convenience to our customers.

Many of our Wintix/Webtix users are successful Scantix users, too!

Check people in and out. Get ticket information and prevent fraud. All touchless for faster, safer entry.
There's an app for that. Scantix works with iPhones, Android, and Zebra handheld dedicated scanners.
Want to learn more about how Scantix and touchless ticketing can help your organization? Contact Diane Rowe, diane@centerstage.com or 831-583-0641.
What is a show note and why should I care?
Want your ticket sellers to ask or remind patrons something during a sale - like "Don't forget there is construction nearby so it will take you longer to drive here during this month."

You simply need to add a Show Note to pop up during a Wintix sale. Learn how here!
Do your ticket sellers have the right permissions?
Is someone in the box office attempting to conduct a task in Wintix but can't? It's possible they don't have the right permissions to do so. When is the last time you've reviewed your people's permissions? As you can see from the list above, there are some tasks you wouldn't want a lot of people to be able to do - like editing or changing a show.

Generally, you don't have to pay attention to this list, but if you add someone new, or someone is promoted, or someone leaves the organization, you need to make sure their permissions reflect their status.

We have plenty of Help Desk posts on this subject. Here is a good post about adding and editing the list of permissions.
Bouncing email receipts?
Why do emails bounce?
  • The mailbox is full
  • The email address is typed in wrong
  • The email address doesn't exist
  • Server problems
  • Poltergeists
Why are they a problem for you?
  • Your patron's email receipt or ticket may not reach them and they may not know if their purchase went through. That may lead to frustration and additional, mistaken purchases.
What to do?
  • If Center Stage sends you a bounce or spam notice, please contact the customer!
  • You can put a notice online using your show info and performance info tabs for people to see during their purchase like, "Please make sure you enter your email address correctly" or "Please check your email for your receipt."
Jim Croce really needed help and support. His heart was broken and he couldn't read the support phone number on "the match book because it was old and faded."

He asked the "operator, will you help me make this call?"

Don't be like poor Jim. Remember our support phone numbers so you won't be sad like Jim here.

The Support Line is

If you need a reminder of the phone number, go to Help | About Wintix.

Jim really wishes he remembered the support phone number and had called it earlier to help him.

"Give me the number if you can find it
So I can call just to tell 'em I'm fine
And to show I've overcome the blow
I've learned to take it well
I only wish my words could just convince myself
That it just wasn't real
But that's not the way it feels."
