Library Card Sign-Up Month
In need of a library card? Register for an eCard today!

Are you having trouble accessing online titles that require the barcode number from your library card (like the e-Books and audiobooks available at MVLC.Overdrive.com or on the Libby app)? Are you interested in reserving materials for Curbside Pick Up, but don't have an active library card? We're here to help!

If you're a Middleton resident and would like to sign up for a library card, email our Circulation and Outreach Librarian, Stacey Zubiel at SZubiel@flintpublib.org and register for an eCard.

eCards will work on all of our electronic materials and materials that you request via curbside pick-up while we're closed, and you can pick up and use the physical card at the library once we reopen!

If you've just forgotten or lost your card number, we can look it up. Send us an email and we'll get it sorted out. Happy reading!
Updates from the Flint
Flint Public Library’s highest priority is the health and well-being of library users, staff and volunteers as we continue to take precautionary measures in order to help slow the spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.

Although the library building is closed, we are offering virtual programs and activities. Please visit us at www.flintlibrary.org or visit Flint Public Library's Facebook page for online resources and virtual library programs!
In addition, we are offering curbside pick-up of library books, DVDs, audiobooks, and magazines. Librarians are available by phone (978.774.8132) or email (flint3@comcast.net) to take your requests or answer any questions.

Please see Flint Public Library's website for our most up-to-date Curbside Pick-Up Procedure before your next pick-up at the library!

Miss browsing our shelves? Stay up-to-date with weekly emails featuring new titles available at The Flint by signing up for Wowbrary.
At this time, our outdoor book drops are available for returns; if you find that our book drop is full or overflowing, we ask that you do not force library materials into our book drop and do not leave library materials outside of the book drop or on the ground. Instead, please consider returning your items at a later time. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated!

Please note that items returned in our book drops will remain in quarantine for several days before being checked in and removed from patron accounts. If you have any questions about about due dates please log in to your account via our catalog, or call the library and a librarian will assist you.
Although our library will remain closed to the public for the time being, we hope that patrons will take advantage of the online resources that can be accessed with an active library card. OverdriveLibby, and Freading are only a few examples of the online services that our library is able to provide, and these applications offer e-books, audiobooks, and more downloadable content which can be accessed by most smart phones, computers, e-readers or Apple and Android devices.

Please continue to visit our website and social media pages for more information on the wide variety of resources that can be accessed from the comfort of your own home!
At-Home with the Flint
What have your librarians been working on while the library is closed?

The staff of the Flint has been back in the building as well as meeting virtually to discuss ways of best serving our patrons throughout this time.

Meanwhile, we have been planning and implementing virtual programs, attending webinars and online-trainings, ordering and preparing new library materials for our collections, and researching other ways to provide services and resources to patrons from the comfort of their own home.

Have any recommendations or requests for a particular online/virtual program or service? Share your ideas with us by emailing a member of the staff or by calling the library (978.774.8132) to let us know!
Looking for someone to chat with? Your librarians are here for you!

If you are feeling isolated during social distancing, reach out to a librarian! We are happy to be your email pen pal, or you can request a "phone a friend" conversation, and a librarian will call to brighten your day.

We encourage patrons to tell us about books you are reading, ask questions about eResources, or even just reach out to say "hello." See contact information for our staff on our website by clicking here, or call (978.774.8132) to leave a message and request a phone call.

If you know an individual who does not use the internet and would benefit from this resource, please let them know to give us a call so that we can get in touch with them!
