Dear friends and family,

Choice Greetings to you.

It was so great to see so many of you at the 54th Convention in Ft. Lauderdale. I cannot believe that only 3 months are left from this year! As the autumn falls on us, we are in the harvest mood. We have the feeling that the harvest is so plentiful, yet the workers are so few. As we labor in our local churches and being so invested in the many responsibilities of ministry, family and life, it is so easy to get discouraged and overwhelmed in the face of such an urgent and immense task. That's why we want to remind you the RTO Annual Conference is around the corner, on November 8-10, 2024. This year it is held for the first time in Knoxville, TN, hosted by Pastor Constantin Onofriciuc and Bethel Church in their spacious and beautiful sanctuary. Our conference is a time of refreshing, restoration and revitalization.

We invite you and encourage you to make it a priority to attend. We are including here the Info:

Dr. Gary Lewis was elected as the New General Overseer. On the Executive Commitee were also voted by their peer bishops, Dr. Tony Stewart, First Assistant General Overseer, Bishop Mark Williams, Second Assistant General Overseer, Bishop Dwayne Dority, Third Assistant General Overseer and Bishop Tom Madden, Secretary General. We congratulate every one of them and we pray for them and looking forward to partner with the new leadership. A new Council of Eighteen was also voted on this occasion. A good number of Romanian attended the General Assembly where we experienced the powerful move of the Spirit.

Church Celebrations

Grace Romanian Church of God: Great celebration in Greenville, South Carolina. Grace Romanian Church of God of Greenville started just 18 months ago with a dozen or so people. A year ago, we officially launched the church. In August, we celebrated a baptism service and also invested people in ministry. Daniel Coman and Ioan Beuca (church founders) advanced to the Ordained Minister Rank. Ovidiu Fabian, Valentyn Nicorich and George Creanga entered ministry by ordination as Deacons. Congratulations to these men of God and their families. I commend Bishop Ioan Hrezdac for his service as Senior Pastor and his sacrificial service. I am also thankful for Pastor Florin Foghis (Portland, OR) and Daniel Avram (Reading, PA) for their ministry during this event. Hundreds of believers attended this service. Such a blessing

While the church is renting space, they already purchased a beautiful plot of land to build a church building. If anyone could bless this new church, please let us know.

Diaspora Mission Church of God: On September 29, Diaspora Mission Church experienced a God ordained pastoral transition. Senior Pastor and Founder, Bishop Paul Moldovan retired from the church he founded in 2002 along with his wife Dina. For 22 years the Moldovans served faithfully and with excellence. On behalf of RTO and the Administrative Bishop, our Chairman, Bishop Dr. Moses Gaode offered them a special Lifetime Achievement Award. Congratulations and well done to this beloved couple.

In the same service, Pastor Radu Gheorghe was installed as Senior Pastor. Congratulations to Radu and Michelle Gheorghe for this new responsibility. We are praying for them and are asking the Lord to bless their ministry.

Visiting a Mentor

Recently, I visited with Bishop Billy J. Rayburn in no other place but a hospital, where he stands by his lovely wife Joyce Lane Rayburn who is going through some difficult health issues. Let's pray for Joyce and Billy, two spiritual giants who served Church of God people with love and loyalty. In 1994 when I arrived in USA at the age of 24, Brother Rayburn believed in me, encouraged me, supported me, prophesied over me and advanced me before my age to Ordained Bishop. This man of God was instrumental in my life and in the lives of so many leaders. He did so much for the RTO Church of God Romanian Territory and Romanian people. I feel so humbled to hold the office he once held in COG. This is spiritual legacy.

It was such a great honor and such a powerful experience to be part to the Church of God Leadership Gathering this September. Powerful move of the Spirit, and a great sense of synergy for the Great Commission.

We are called to Stay the Course!
