Leadership is a critical element that keeps organizations running seamlessly and staying knowledgeable of current issues. In a constantly changing environment, it is ever important to stay abreast of local and global leadership trends.

Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, an international thought leader and education center that challenges, informs, and supports leaders to deliver change towards sustainability, believes "Individuals and organizations have to balance a sense of agency, whilst also having the humility to recognize that they need others to achieve real change.

In this vein, Joan Plisko is thrilled to announce she has been accepted in to the Leadership Baltimore County (LBC) class of 2017. LBC is a year long program in which 40 participants engage in experiential activities towards the shared goal of sustaining vibrant and progressive communities.

According to Freeman Hrabowski, III, President of University of Maryland Baltimore County since 1992, "The program provides an excellent networking opportunity for professionals, while also broadening the thinking of participants about economic and societal challenges facing the region."
