The way motherhood is thought of in society profoundly impacts women, whether they have children or don't, making this topic a genuine feminist issue. What are the implications for mothers? What about for women who are not able to have children or do not wish to be mothers?
For this Social Issues Discussion, we will unpack the historical and social context in which motherhood can be understood and explore the connections with feminism and gender.
Join us for this opportunity to have an honest discussion in a safe and respectful environment with Gillian Ranson, Professor Emerita of sociology at the University of Calgary .
This event is for all women-identified people.
Child minding is available. Please call Amanda at 403-264-1155 to save a sport for your child(ren).
