As a way to encourage all Ogunquit-area businesses to open safely, and encourage guests and residents to act responsibly, the Ogunquit Chamber has created the "Ogunquit Together" initiative. The initiative welcomes our visitors and reminds everyone (visitors, businesses and residents) that it is in behaving in a manner that is courteous and respectful to others that we can continue to be open this summer & autumn and ensure access to our amazing natural resources and inviting business community.

And we are so proud of our guests, our businesses, and our community! Mask compliance is at 90-95%, far above the goal established by our town's COVID-19 task force. Our guests are telling us that they are so happy to have come to Ogunquit, because of how safe they feel here and the respect for all felt throughout the community. Way to go, everyone!

The 5th Annual Superhero 5K is going VIRTUAL!

Rett's Roost (www.rettsroost.org), a nonprofit sanctuary for families experiencing childhood cancer and child loss, is having its largest fundraiser of the year on the weekend of September 18-20th. The Superhero 5K & Kids Fun Run (https://rettsroost.org/event/superhero-5k-fun-run/) is still happening this year, but like many other large scale events, it's gonna be VIRTUAL. Do not fear, however, it's STILL going to be great! Same cool bibs, same fun run ribbons, same costume contest, but this year...

Run wherever you live, any time it works for you! Instead of running, you can do just about anything that gets you outside, moving, and feeling good about supporting a good cause. We suggest hiking, swimming, biking, dancing, surfing, yoga, kayaking, SUPing, dog walking, weight lifting, jump roping, omg, the list keeps going....

It's easy. On the weekend of Sept 18-20th, simply dress up like a superhero (or any costume really), take a picture or video of you or your family pumping those endorphins, and post it on social media. Tag us, link our fundraising page, and share the heck out of it. If you are really ambitious, start your own fundraising page and start promoting it now!

On Sunday afternoon we will host a zoom conference to announce awards, recognize sponsors, and offer a magic show and animal show for kids.

All proceeds from this event will be used to provide free therapeutic programming and financial support to families that have a child with cancer or whose child has passed.
