A message from our CEO
Our builds and community outreach have kept us busy all summer, with no signs of slowing down!

Our construction volunteers have been hard at work on our four Munsee-Delaware builds for Indigenous families. We are at the half-way point, so if you have been thinking of coming out to volunteer on the build site, now is the time to sign-up! We have a number of different volunteer positions we are recruiting for under the Volunteers section of this newsletter, and there’s something for everyone.

All seven ReStores helped give back to their local communities this month by holding a week-long “ReStore our community” donation drive collecting non-perishable food items, pet food, and school supplies to donate to the local charity of their choice! In addition, Habitat Heartland donated over 400 backpacks and boxes of school supplies to the Thames Valley Education Fund school supply donation drive. We’re proud to bring our community together to help local children in need as they prepare to head back to school.

Habitat Heartland's St. Thomas home build is breaking ground in September, and we could not be more excited! One way you can get involved with our St. Thomas build is by participating in a Build Day, either in-person or virtually! We wanted to give you, your friends and your colleagues an option to build with us virtually during the month of October, so keep an eye out for more information on virtual Build Days coming soon! If you are interested please reach out to us - email information is below. Thank you for your continued support, and stay well!
