What a fantastic summer! CAISSA held a weekly golf outing for 10 sessions this summer which included two foursomes each week. We had a great time and I look forward to doing it again next year! Look for the signup sheet EARLY in the spring because we will only be doing one foursome each week. I found it difficult to set up two foursomes and be able to meet with people in the other group so I think it will work better this way.
Our summer is winding down with my son learning to play flag football. Talk about chaos!! Whether or not the kids know what they're doing (and I'm going to go with 'not'), they have such a great time running for 45 minutes straight. As adults, we call that a form of torture. How life changes.
I hope all of you had a fantastic summer and I wish you a great fall season! I know we will be apple picking and going to the pumpkin patch.

Whether you realize it or not, you have an estate. In layman's terms, an estate is your net worth - dead or alive. If you own it, it's in your estate. Uncle Sam wants to tax you on it and other people just want to have your things (maybe not the debt). If you look at the assets in your estate, do you have a plan for each of them if you die tomorrow? It's likely your real estate would go to your spouse if the title is joint. It's likely your retirement accounts and insurance would go to your named beneficiaries.
Changes in interest rates have been a much speculated topic these days. The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) met this week and decided not to change rates for September indicating the drag from global economies were worth monitoring the developments abroad.
