Blood Drive in Memory of Maria Furgiuele
It's been just over two months since the passing of our former Executive Director, Maria Furgiuele -- and we miss her every day. During Maria's battle with multiple myeloma, she received blood and platelets many times. She specifically asked that others be encouraged to donate blood as her legacy. In fact, one of her final requests was that the CDCR host a blood drive in her memory.

Awards Nominations: Closing on 9/16!
Consider this your official reminder to submit a nomination (or two!) for our 12th Annual Reshaping Rochester Awards by Friday, September 16! The awards given will recognize exemplary projects and individuals in the Greater Rochester area that make a positive impact on people, neighborhoods, and communities. Awardees will be announced at the 12th Annual Awards Luncheon on November 16.
Public Engagement Opportunities:
Public Meeting: Block Party Edition

There will be a public meeting turned community celebration on Sunday, October 2 on the Broad Street Bridge from 1:00pm-5:00pm! The bridge will be closed off to traffic to celebrate the New York State Canal Conference and Aqueduct Reimagined project. There will be a variety of family-friendly activities, live music, and food. The Aqueduct Reimagined project team will share initial design concepts and solicit feedback from the community.
