Central Park’s New Adult Fitness Equipment Area Now Open

Outdoor fitness just got an upgrade at Central Park! The City of Fremont is excited to announce the opening of the new Adult Fitness Equipment Area, located between the Softball Complex and behind the dog park at the north end of Lake Elizabeth.

The upgraded space features a state-of-the-art fitness rig, comfortable benches, drinking fountains, and improved concrete pathways for easy access. These enhancements are designed to encourage healthy lifestyles, support active recreation, and provide a welcoming space for residents to enjoy the outdoors.

Construction began in November 2024, and the project was completed in August 2025. Whether you’re looking to enhance your workout routine, cool down with a walk along Lake Elizabeth, or simply enjoy the park’s scenic beauty, the new fitness area offers something for everyone.

Palm Ave Community Park: Help Shape Fremont’s Newest Park

The City of Fremont is planning a new 12-acre community park on Palm Avenue! Guided by the 2022 Parks and Recreation Master Plan, this future park may include sports fields, courts, playgrounds, picnic areas, open lawns, and more.

Like other Fremont Community Parks, Palm Ave Park will serve the entire city and include restrooms and parking. Design considerations like traffic, access, and amenities are still being reviewed.

Get Cozy For Movie Nights



Keep the outdoor movie magic going with our final two Movies Under the Stars at the Central Park Performance Pavilion on September 19 and October 3. We’re wrapping up the season with two movie features: Mufasa and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

Bring your blankets, chairs, popcorn and join us for a family friendly evening. Movies begin after sunset, and best of all, admission is FREE! Closed captions will be available.

Design Your Own Succulent Pot - Youth Workshop

Register Now | September 20 | Ages 6-12 years

Unleash your kid's creativity in this hands-on youth art workshop! Your child will learn how to design and decorate their very own succulent pot, then create a beautiful succulent arrangement to plant inside. At the end of the workshop, they will take home their unique creation.

The River Flows: New Exhibition at Olive Hyde Art Gallery

The City of Fremont’s Olive Hyde Art Gallery presents The River Flows, a group exhibition featuring contemporary works by Yuting Wang, Bushra Gill, and Kiana Honarmand. Showcasing artists from diverse cultural backgrounds, the exhibition explores themes of identity, memory, and connection.

Admission to the gallery, receptions, and events is always free and open to the public.

Save the Date: Trick or Treat Event!

Spooky season is almost here — and so is the return of our iconic Trick-or-Treat Halloween event on Friday, October 24th. Grab your costumes and gather the whole family for a frightfully fun night you won’t want to miss.

Kids of all ages can enjoy trick-or-treating, thrilling carnival games, delicious bites from local food trucks, and plenty of ghoulish surprises. Stay tuned for more details!
