Relocation Incentive partnership with Radius Indiana!

Orange County Economic Development Partnership has joined forces with Radius Indiana and a few other Radius counties to offer a population growth incentive. Choose Southern Indiana has officially launched and is marketing to out-of-state individuals or families willing to relocate to Southern Indiana. Orange County is specifically targeting veterans for our population growth campaign.

Orange County Housing Update

The Paoli Housing Taskforce officially celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony on September 7th. Students from the Lost River Career Cooperative were in attendance to take part in the festivities surrounding this exciting project.

At the completion of the 2021/2022 school year, this home will be sold to a private resident. The hope is for the home to serve as a "model" for future housing development in Paoli. Be on the lookout for a brand new website being created to showcase progress taking place as the build continues.

The Orange County Workforce Housing Development is well underway in West Baden!

One home is already under roof, and construction on a second home along Abbeydell is beginning.

21ST CENTURY TALENT REGION DESIGNATION

Southern Indiana Gateway (SIG) is the newest Talent Region to receive its designation from the Indiana office of Career Connections & Talent. A celebration took place on August 9th at Patoka Lake Winery. In attendance were members from each of the six counties that make up Southern Indiana Gateway; Orange, Crawford, Dubois, Perry, Pike, and Spencer, along with Senator Erin Houchin, State Representative Steve Bartels, and State Representative Shane Lindauer.

ELLIOTT MANUFACTURING EXPANSION

Elliott Manufacturing is growing! You might have noticed the recent building expansion they completed, but that's not all, they're also in the process of hiring an additional 6 employees. During a recent conversation with the owners, they mentioned that sales have almost tripled during the last year. The owners feel very blessed and fortunate to have Grand Canyon Gas Logs out of Phoenix, AZ to sell their products to.
