We have several opportunities to get involved.
Internal Volunteer Opportunities:

Event Support Volunteer- 2nd Annual Ride Electric Event
Who: 3-5 volunteers
When: This Saturday, September 15, for 2+ hours between 9am-4pm
What:
- Event set up help: set up of tables, cones to block off street, parking spaces for vehicle owners, and more.
- Support event coordinator with event logistics and flow; maintaining road blocks, managing flow of traffic between guests and hosts etc.
- Event break down: clearing out attendees, breaking down tables and/or tents, providing directions to host and other event support tasks

EcoHouse Volunteer Work Day
Who: 10-15 volunteers
When:
Every Wednesday from 2-6pm *If you would like to volunteer at a different time, please fill out this form.
What:
- Plantings: replace overgrown, weeded plants
- Debris Removal: any excess growth from front yard.

Replace bushes with lower, more appropriate native plants
- Plant identification and labeling project, possible other tasks.
*The Ecology Center will provide materials to complete
projects.
Please feel free to bring gardening gloves and knee pads (based on personal preference) and be sure to wear clothing that is suitable for outdoor projects. Due to the large amount of people volunteering, if you have personal gardening tools-that's great too! Hats and water are also recommended.

Event Outreach Volunteer
Who: 5-7 volunteers
When: Tuesday-Sunday, flexible times
What:
- Our Events Coordinator will be developing a "Street Team" to support with outreach and promotions of Ecology Center events and programs.
- We are seeking active and enthusiastic folks who are willing to hit the streets and spread the word about upcoming projects and events.
- This team would work directly with Ecology Center staff to complete tasks such as: creating event flyers, cranking out creative social media posts, distributing flyers and posters to community members and businesses, etc.
This role is aimed to build strong community relationships and increase access to information about Ecology Center programs and resources.

Farmers' Market Data Entry Volunteer
Who
: 1-2 volunteers
When: 2-3 hrs/week or 10-15 hrs/month
What:
- Assist Market Managers in the transfer of data collected at market into internal databases
- Help create and maintain database of vendor profiles

Who: 1-2 volunteers
When: Wednesdays and Fridays
- Support the Operations Manager in the creation of content by writing short articles, interviewing farmers and customers, and capturing recipes from the community at large
- Assist the Operations Manager create bi-weekly Ripe Now! e-letters featuring in season produce as well as quarterly e-newsletter or guest blogs
Desired skills:
- Creative writing experience- comfortable writing short articles -General knowledge or interest in fresh produce, sustainable agriculture, and/or cooking
- Should be comfortable engaging with the public & vendor

Who: 1-2 volunteers
When: Tuesdays, Thursdays and/or Saturdays
What:
- Support the farmers' market team with essential tasks i.e, vendor support, youth intern management, community engagement and more!
- Managing the parking lot - ensure cars are parked in their correct spots and neighbors driveways, handicap spots are being respected
- Create a contact list of all chefs and restaurants that are attending the market (point of contact for any chef needs)
- Setting up and breaking down of signage, etc
- Assisting in loading/unloading
