NEW AND IMPROVED CONSERVATION REBATES

At its regular board meeting on August 18, 2026, the SCV Water Board of Directors approved conservation program updates in support of the recently adopted Water Use Efficiency Strategic Plan. The updates are intended to increase water savings, bolster customer support, and raise customer participation in the Agency’s conservation programs.

Among the updates is a significant increase to the Lawn Replacement Program rebate that participating customers receive. The revamped program now offers a $5 per square foot incentive for converting from grass to water-efficient landscaping, up from the previous $3 per square foot.

“We are excited to offer increased rebates and new conservation services that deliver even greater value to our customers," said Matt Dickens, Sustainability Manager. "Whether replacing a lawn, upgrading irrigation equipment, or improving indoor water efficiency, these program enhancements help customers save water, save money, and make a positive impact on our community’s water future.”
