September 15–October 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities.
At CAPC, we are proud to serve families from diverse backgrounds throughout Contra Costa County. We believe that strong families and safe communities are built by celebrating our differences, supporting one another, and making sure every family has access to the resources they need.
This month, we celebrate the strength, culture, and resilience of our Hispanic and Latino communities.
How to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month
One of the most meaningful ways is through conversation. Take a moment to talk with a friend, neighbor, classmate, or colleague from the Hispanic/Latino community. Ask them about their traditions, what’s important to them, or what they love to celebrate.
It’s important to remember that the Latino community is beautifully diverse: not everyone is an immigrant, not everyone is Mexican American, and not everyone speaks Spanish. By listening and learning, we can honor this diversity, deepen our understanding, and celebrate the many cultures and contributions that enrich our lives every day.
