A Letter from the Director | |
|
Friends,
The care and stewardship of the library building is a priority. If you visited the library in the past few weeks, you may have noticed a few things. First, the temperature in the original building is warm and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the remediation necessary to restore cooling requires parts that will not be available for weeks. Thank you for your continued patience as we await the
arrival of the necessary parts to insure the comfort of our patrons.
| | |
In addition, you may have noticed work happening outside the library. The
exterior is being pressure washed and painted. This project sponsored by a grant
from Northampton County. My hope is that you are still enjoying all the library
has to offer as we make the necessary efforts to maintain the building.
On a separate note, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for supporting our recent library calendar fundraiser. It is because of this generosity
and support that the library can do anything at all. As we approach October, I hope you are planning to attend the Touch a Truck Festival on October 1st and the
Craig Thatcher and Friends benefit concert. These will be two wonderful
community events. Join us!
Enjoy the month of September and all it has to offer.
I will see you at the library!
Holly Bennett
Library Director, Information Conductor, and Community Ambassador
