Special Notes from the Library

Announcing the Children's Library Card Design Contest Winners!

At the beginning of the summer, we asked kids in the community to participate in a drawing contest to help us create a new design for the Children's Library Card. There were so many excellent submissions, we couldn't choose just one.

Thank you to all who submitted your designs! We will display all the children's artwork during our library open house on Thursday, September 26.

National Library Card Sign-up Month!

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, a national campaign to emphasize the importance of library cards to a child’s education. The campaign first started in 1987 as a response to then Secretary of Education, William Bennett, who stated: “Let’s have a campaign … Every child should obtain a library card and use it.”

This month we hope to emphasize all the resources and programs we have at the Library for all ages. Learn more about Library Card Sign-up Month!
