We're taking a fresh look at our parks, programs, and facilities to ensure they meet the needs of our growing community. To make sure your voice is heard, we’re hosting two public meetings in late September:
- Wednesday, 09/25 6-7:30pm at the Belmont Library.
- Thursday, 09/26 6-7:30pm at the EnVision Center

Don't miss out on the news: The 14th annual Anthem GO Outside Festival (GO Fest) is coming back to Roanoke, VA, from October 18-20. This year, there's an exciting addition with a SECOND location at Explore Park!
The new "Adventure Outpost" at Explore Park aims to elevate the festival experience, alongside the vibrant "Festival Basecamp" at Elmwood Park in downtown Roanoke. A free shuttle service will link both locations for easy access to all attendees.

The Morningside Short Track XC Mountain Bike Bash guarantees an exhilarating show as cyclists tackle steep, challenging climbs to secure their positions before diving into a winding, roller-coaster-like single track.
The course is over 2 miles, offering excitement for mountain bikers with multiple laps. Spectators can enjoy the visible course for short track racing excitement. To keep the energy high, a food truck will be available on-site.

Eureka Recreation Center is getting a major makeover! After an action-packed summer in 2024, we’re closing its doors for a complete transformation. Reopening in spring 2026, it will be a community hub like never before.
- Dive into fun at the new Washington Park Pool! Construction is moving forward, with a grand opening planned for summer 2025.
- The upcoming In-River Park at Wasena Park will be your ultimate oasis. Picture yourself relaxing by the water, watching boaters pass by, and making unforgettable memories. Construction kicks off in early 2025, with a target completion date of 2026.
- A brand-new Skatepark is on the horizon. We're designing it with your input from the past community meetings. Construction starts winter 2024, and we aim to open its doors in early 2026. Stay tuned for community meetings to share your ideas!
