Happy September! We are so excited about all of the upcoming spring events. Most of the events and programs below require an RSVP, so please read carefully and secure your spot!

Join us Thursday, September 7th in the Raleigh Room for a lunch and learn! We will have the Wendell Historical Society onsite teaching us the history of Wendell. Pizza and drinks will be provided.

Join us Sunday, September 10th in the Raleigh Room to celebrate National Grandparents Day! We will have an ice cream social and crafts to take home.

Calling all Wendell kiddos! Join us in the Raleigh Room on Tuesday, September 12, at 10:30 am in the Raleigh Room for our monthly kid's STEM class.

Join us on Thursday, September 14 outside the Raleigh Room to meet the animals! The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences will host this fun informational class. Meet some of the Museum’s live animal ambassadors and learn about their characteristics, adaptations, and the roles they play in our environment. They offer a large variety of themes, including reptiles, NC natives, tropical animals and more.

Enjoy a powerful and centering full being flow outside the lakeside at Wendell Falls. Located outside behind the clubhouse. Bring your mat and water and prepare for a beautiful all-level yoga flow. All are welcome for a beautiful connecting experience.

Join Emmy Thursday, September 21st at 6:00pm. This 60-minute vinyasa class will begin with a short meditation. Participants can expect to hold poses for 2-7 breaths, both seated and standing. Though weight-bearing poses will be taught, modifications will be offered! All level adults should feel encouraged and empowered to attend. The class will end with an 8-minute Savasana.

Join us Wednesday, September 27 at 6:00 pm in the Raleigh Room and learn how to brew beer at home! In this course, you'll learn everything you need to know about making beer right in the comfort of your own home. During the class session, we'll cover the fundamentals of home brewing, starting with the basics of beer ingredients and the brewing process. We'll talk about the different types of malt, hops, yeast, and water that can be used to make beer, and how they're selected to achieve different styles and flavors. We'll also discuss equipment options and walk through the process of brewing a batch of beer on your own. In addition, we'll provide an abbreviated demonstration of some key brew day procedures. So grab a glass and join us for a fun and informative journey into the world of home brewing! 

* This class cost $25 and can be paid by check the day of class made out to Wake Technical Community College

Join us Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 9:30 am or 10:30 am in the Raleigh room for a packing demonstration from Lisa Elder at Gemella Travel. The demonstration will teach you how to pack for a 7-day vacation in a carry-on bag using packing cubes. Plus, there will be giveaways and some travel deals and steals just for Wendell Falls residents!
