SEPTEMBER AT THE LIBRARY
September is a month of transition, with kids back to school, the shift to fall weather, and a new slate of library programs. It's also Hispanic Heritage Month and Welcoming Week: a time when we have LOTS going on in celebration of the diversity of our community! We have something for everyone and we hope to see you at one or more of these library events highlighted below (and more here):

FOR KIDS
TUESDAYS, 10:30am
Stories, crafts and fun for ages 3-5. Little Learners for Spanish speakers is offered on the 4th Tuesday of every month.

1st MONDAYS and TUESDAYS, 10am
Join us for all ages Storytimes at a different Redwood City Park each week

FOR TEENS
MONDAYS, 5:30pm
During this session, the Makerspace and its available tools are open to teens ages 12-18

THU SEP 21, 5:30pm
New in September, the Teen Book Club we will be discussing Adam Silvera's gritty novel They Both Die at the End

FOR ADULTS
TUESDAYS, 5:30pm and SATURDAYS, 11am
Join us for our weekly ESL Conversation Group online via Zoom

WELCOMING WEEK
Welcoming Week is almost here! Through Welcoming Week, organizations and communities bring together neighbors of all backgrounds to build strong connections and affirm the importance of welcoming and inclusive places in achieving collective prosperity.⁠

LIBRARY MOBILE APP NEWS
The Redwood City Library mobile app service is ending on September 28, 2023.

We are seeking a replacement app to be launched in the coming months. In the meantime, if you are a regular library app user, we recommend bookmarking the library catalog, the events page, and the library homepage. Folklórico Dresses of Mexico

Join us in the Family Place of the Downtown Library to view our Hispanic Heritage Month cultural exhibit! The colorful exhibit includes Folklórico dresses from many regions of Mexico. The display will run from September 15 through October 15.

Teen Makers: Hand Art with Maria Sanchez

Local artist Maria Sanchez will show you how to make unique hand art to celebrate the start of Hispanic Heritage Month! For ages 12-18, in the Makerspace.
