PECO has announced an infrastructure project in Lower Gwynedd, which will enhance the local electric distribution systems. This $4.5 million investment aims to improve system reliability, support cleaner energy adoption, and better withstand severe storms.
The project, spanning a couple years and occurring in phases, will begin with work on Old Penllyn Pike and Pen Ambler Road. The initial project is scheduled to start early 2025 and is expected to be completed in 2026. Tree removal and trimming will be required. A PECO contractor will survey the area in the coming weeks, and property owners will be contacted directly if their property is affected.
Residents will receive updates as the project progresses from PECO. The Township will keep the website current with info. This is not a Township project; this is a PECO project.
