Virtual Study Groups
Are you looking to form or join a study group?
With classes being held in a variety of formats, we recognize it may be difficult to connect with others taking the same coursework. We’re gathering interest to see what needs exist for virtual study groups.
WiSE is hoping to partner with the Laptop Loaner Program, in order to provide laptops or hot spots to WiSE students in need. We are working to learn what needs exist, and would like your help!
If you are in need of a laptop or hot spot, please fill in this form by Monday, Sept. 7 so that we can understand how we can best be of service.
Please note: This is not a request form for a laptop/hotspot, but only an information-gathering effort.
Outdoor Wifi and Study Spaces
Campus users will now be able to access wireless internet in select outdoor areas around campus. Select the Outdoor Wifi layer on campus maps to see locations.
WiSE partners with the Colleges of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Engineering, Human Sciences and Liberal Arts and Sciences to support students academically each semester. Female identifying first-year, second year and transfer students are eligible for one science, engineering or math course each semester while enrolled in a STEM major at Iowa State.
Contact Katie Walker at katiew@iastate.edu for access to the funding for tutoring request form and directions for requesting a tutor.

The Society of Women Engineers is a student organization that empowers women to achieve their full potential in careers as engineers and leaders. We welcome men, non-engineers, and people of all identities and backgrounds because we strongly believe all allies and advocates are a positive driving force in uplifting female engineers. We have bi-weekly meetings and other events throughout the semester.
Join us for our first general meeting this Wednesday, September 2nd from 6:30-7:30 pm in Troxel 1001. You can also subscribe to our weekly newsletter to find out about all our events here.
