KlezmerWorkshopsKlezmer Workshops and Jams

Join us for our continuing KlezCalifornia Klezmer Workshops & Jams. Each event is taught by a terrific musician and teacher and includes learning tunes with authentic klezmer style, and a traditional jam. The balance of learning by ear vs. with charts is chosen by each teacher. For all instruments; no klezmer experience needed (but it doesn't hurt!). Must be at least intermediate level on your instrument. Mute required if you are a brass player. Optional: bring recording device. To get a head start, check out sheet music and/or sound files in advance.

Registration: $25 sliding scale, for participants. Pay on site with cash or check. Refreshments included. Listeners welcome; donation requested. More info: 415.789.7679, jams@klezcalifornia.org.
