Thank you, thank you, thank you for making our Nature's Treasures Grand Opening a weekend to remember! A special shout out to the Austin Chamber of Commerce for hosting our ribbon cutting ceremony and to everyone who joined us in celebration.
It was heartwarming to see so many old friends and happy faces. Regretfully, I missed the chance to publicly express my gratitude to my incredible Nature’s Treasures staff, especially Michael and Amanda for their outstanding work in managing and executing the challenging task of designing and implementing our move. If you haven’t visited our new location yet, you're in for a treat! You won’t believe your eyes! While it’s bittersweet to see the old location go, it holds countless cherished memories, and feels like a fitting farewell salute to that chapter.
This month may not bring any standout meteorite stargazing opportunities, but there’s still some special energy to look forward to with the full “Corn” moon on September 7 and 8. September is full of powerful personal energy opportunities with both a partial Lunar Eclipse on the 7th and the Fall Equinox on September 22nd. Even though Lunar eclipse are global and at the same time for everyone, it won’t be visible from the northern hemisphere but the complex energy it generates will still be felt. An Eclipse shares a lot of the same energy traits as the Equinox so having both in one month guarantees unique opportunities for Spirtual growth, connection and communications. This month will be a special cleansing time for enhancing your crystals natural properties.

I can’t express enough the powerful blend of eclipse and equinox energies presenting unique opportunities for transformation. A total Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on September 7 brings the potential for major revelations, surrendering, and reality checks, as Saturn returns to this sign. What does that mean exactly, as the planet is typically a sign of healing and intuitive ability. We might become involved in holistic healing practices, spiritual studies or volunteering to help others. Jupiter’s support during this full moon will add a boost of positivity, and perhaps sentimentality, too.
| | | Featured Stone: Texas Petrified Palm Wood | | | | | |
Texas Palm Wood is the Texas State Stone as of 1969. It is from palms that date back as far as the Oligocene, 30-35 million years ago. During this time coastal vegetation was prevalent in Texas, and upon burial in mud and ash, the palms underwent fossilization over millions of years with each cell of the tree being mineralized. Palm Wood shows a polka dot pattern in multiple colors that becomes visible when cross-cut making it sought after by collectors .
Palm Wood can be found across Central and East Texas. Last month our very own Michael and Justin got to visit a ranch in Blanco County, where they collected over 1000 lbs of this material in a single day. Keep an eye out for new material coming to the Rock Yard soon and check out the Rock Depot for cabochons and polished pieces from our last batch!

Ashley
Ashley is an Austin native who now lives just outside the city, where she enjoys spending her time "in the dirt" gardening. Whether she is with her sweet little dachshund, Rascal, or tending to her year round vegetable garden, her peace comes from being in nature. When she is at work, Ashley splits her time at Nature's Treasures between the Retail Showroom helping customers and training to learn everything she can about hosting events. She is looking forward to helping establish a community garden at our new location after our big move!
