JFS is a non-profit social services agency serving all members of the community from all backgrounds. Your generous support enables us to provide crucial programs for those in need.

The rising price of basic necessities in the U.S. like food, energy, housing and gasoline, have left many impoverished families reprioritizing their expenses. The JFS Kosher Food Pantries are struggling to meet the increased need in the community as well as the rising cost of food supplies.

As Mrs. V (pictured left), a food pantry client, stated:

"My husband and I continue to find ways to adapt to the changing situation. We have two teenage daughters who understand we're not able to buy certain things. So we are grateful for JFS' help with groceries and keeping my girls in mind to receive backpacks. Even today, the staff was working hard to make sure my family has enough to eat this month, which I appreciate." 

JFS Kosher Food Pantries recently received a donation of Greenlite™ energy-efficient LED lightbulb kits and current sensing power strips from PSE&G. Donated items are being distributed to pantry recipients until supplies run out. Thank you so much to PSE&G for helping our families save on energy costs!

Fun Fact: The first Sunday of October is National Change a Light Day. This October 2nd, make sure to check your lightbulbs!
