July QuickStats: Sales Slow, Inventory Grows

U.S. existing-home sales fell 2.7% from the previous month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 3.93 million, according to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). In our area, slower sales activity has contributed to a rise in inventory. Nationally, inventory reached its highest level since 2020, NAR reports. For many buyers, this is the strongest negotiating position in more than five years.

New Search Experience Prioritizes REALTORS® on realtor.com

Starting September 3rd, realtor.com will roll out a new agent search experience designed to help REALTORS® better market themselves and connect with potential clients. Developed in collaboration with the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) to protect REALTOR® interests, this updated experience prioritizes REALTORS® through profile relevancy, robustness, and clear REALTOR® branding – ensuring REALTORS® stand out from non-members.

Consumers will still be able to filter exclusively for REALTOR® profiles, and inquiries submitted via the “Connect” button will continue to go directly to NAR members at no cost. The experience will fully replace the Find-a-REALTOR® tool on September 3. Members can also opt for paid enhancements to boost visibility. For questions, please contact customercare@realtor.com.
