Stay tuned—all month long, we’ll be sending out information to help make this a time of effective learning and action! And, to start Suicide Prevention Awareness Month off right, take action today with these three quick steps!

Taking Action: Three Quick Steps for Suicide Prevention

1. Know the Signs!

Knowing that someone is in crisis is a key part of suicide prevention. Access Suicide Prevention: Things to Know and learn the warning signs. Knowing the signs can help you save a life!

2. Learn with NTTAC!

We’ve created a special collection of resources with two sections: one for children, youth, and families, and one for professionals in the system of care. The resources in this collection not only offer information on what to do when someone is in crisis, but also support efforts to sustain wellness in youth and families.

3. Take the Pledge!

Preventing suicide may sound intimidating, but getting started is simpler than you may realize. Take our quick suicide prevention pledge and post on social media (#TALKmore22) with a sign saying: “I took the pledge!” Then, put your pledge into practice!
