It's apple season Oregon Farm Loop
As the season begins to change, September is the month to start thinking about fall leaves, seasonal coffee, comfy blankets, hay bales, pumpkins, and enjoying all the sweet treats that comes with the season. Here on the Oregon Farm Loop, we are excited for the ever-popular apple season to begin! Looking for the perfect apple? Do you want to get out with the family and pick your own apples? Look no further than the farm loop members listed below.

On the Canby Farm Loop:
Fir Point Farms - Looking for yummy baked goods, lunches and local produce including apples? Fir Point Farms has you covered! When you are carving these delicious fall treats on a quiet farm setting, you know where to go. Visit their website for updates on products and hours.
Morning Shade Farm - U-pick and a farm stand full of amazing, local produce. Apples and Asian pears are in season and ready for all your fall baking desires. If you haven't been out to this picturesque farm, now is a great time to go! U-pick open on Saturdays and Sundays.

On the Farmlandia Farm Loop:
Fiala Farms - Open 7 days a week for all the fall harvest produce goodies. Fresh flowers, jams and of course apples are just some of the great farm fresh finds available at Fiala. Make sure to follow them on Facebook or call for updates.
Hartnell Farms - A fresh produce farm with fabulous variety! Besides having an abundance of apple at their farm stand, Hartnell Farms also has an amazing selection of tomatoes and other late summer/early fall crops. Stay up to date on crop updates by following them here.
Lee Farms - This multi-generation farm always have a variety of fresh autumn produce grown on their farm or by their neighbors. Lee’s offers a delicious array of Oregon apples including some wonderful heritage varieties rarely found in the supermarket. You can also choose from a delicious selection of baked goods at their farm store featuring this fall favorite. Follow them on Facebook for all the fall updates.

On the Marion Farm Loop:
Bauman's Farm & Garden - Over 40 different variety of apples grown on the farm! Stop by for fresh eating apples, cooking apples and fresh pressed apple cider. Hours and updates here.
Beilke Family Farm - A U-pick family farm growing apples, tomatoes and pumpkins. 10 acre U-pick apple orchard, bearing 18 varieties, is great fun for families and those looking for lots of fruit. Follow them on Facebook for hours and updates.
E.Z. Orchards Farm Market - While you are doing your other fresh produce shopping here, make sure you pick up tasty apples. This farm carries sweet apples for fresh eating and cooking apples for all your favorite desserts.
French Prairie Gardens & Family Farm - Serving families quality farm fresh produce since 1987. Enjoy country experiences–fresh air, the open & easy pace, the sights & sounds of a working farm while you pick up apples from their market. Make sure to check their website!
Greens Bridge Gardens - Pick your own apples at this beautiful farm in southern Marion County. If picking isn't your thing, their farm stand is full of fresh picked produce for your convenience. You can also find them at several local farmers markets. Keep up to date on crop availability here.
True North Orchards - U-pick apples, plums, pears, grapes during September and October. Honeycrisp and Pinova apples and Brooks plums are already underway. By late September, fresh pressed cider and fresh grape juice will also be available. Visit their website or Facebook for more info.

Community Forest Day
September 12, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm

Spend a day in the trees! You are invited to a volunteer day at the forest. Some of the projects included lumber milling and tree limb removal. All projects will practice social distancing and please bring your own mask and water. A simple "outdoor" lunch for those interested will be provided. More info here
National Alpaca Farm Days
September 26 & 27

Come see these popular, fluffy animals in person! On that Saturday and Sunday, the farm will be sorting fiber for the mill and alpacas will be out for you to touch. On all other days they hold daily educational and hands on tours by reservation only. Drop in visitors are always welcome and a bag of grain can be purchased for $5. More info here
Live Music & Wine Tasting
September 6, 12 to 6 pm
(music from 1 to 3 pm)

 Guitar duet Marui and Greg will be playing bluegrass and older rock standards for your listening pleasure. Enjoy unique wine styles and hard to find hybrid wines while relaxing with a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape. More info here. In addition, the winery will be open Labor Day 12-6 pm.
Annual Fall Sale
Starts September 1

This family owned and operated business that has everything you need to make your dream garden a reality! You’ll find everything from beautiful annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs, to quality bark, soil, & gravel products. Follow them on Facebook for updates on products and events!

Stroll through over 35 acres of beautiful dahlias. The fields are open starting through Sept. View every variety in the display garden or sit at a picnic table and enjoy an afternoon among the dahlias. Weekly Farm Safaris
Wednesdays, Saturdays & Sundays

You will drive around the farm visiting over 21 pasture/pens of a variety of animals. This will include llamas, camel, cows, goats, emu, donkeys, horses, pigs........and MORE! No tickets available before hand. And they will be practicing social distancing as you will remain in your vehicle. Admission will be $20 per vehicle (cash or card). Get your pets, livestock and property ready for fall!
On the Molalla Country Farm Loop:
A working feed mill and retail store, they manufacture their own brand of feed daily and carry a large inventory of farm supplies, horse tack, pet food, pet supplies, wood pellets, hay and straw. Take your family 140+ years back in this family owned, 6th generation mill.

On the Farmlandia Farm Loop:
This historical farm and store date back to 1926 when Carl it began as a grocery store, gas station and garage that sold everything from string to feed. Coming to this farm today is like stepping back to 1926 and receiving the same sort of country service and one-stop shopping offered by the founding farmers. Today’s owners offer a variety of feed and hay for livestock, horses, poultry, dogs and cats as well as farm-fresh eggs and mechanical services for cars and farm equipment. More Info: 503-638-0300
