September is Library Card Sign Up Month!
Join us in celebration of Library Card Sign-up Month! Use your Library card to checkout a book during the month of September to be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a gift certificate to a local business!

Can’t find your Library card? Library card replacement fees are waived during September.
COVID Tests Still Available!
Thank you to Senator Skoufis for providing the Library with COVID test kits! Tests can be picked up at our circulation desk during open hours and are limited to one kit per each member of a household.

Remember if you aren't feeling well, kits can be requested via curbside. Just give us a call!

Book Barn - Used Book Sale
Saturday, September 3 & 17, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
*Weather permitting*
Open the first and third Saturday of the month from May to October, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. (weather permitting), the Friends of the Marlboro Free Library’s Book Barn sells good-quality, used books to help benefit the Library. To visit the Book Barn during its open hours, park in the Library's side parking lot and follow the path down to the red shed.
Marlborough Makers Club Adult Craft:
Jewelry Making Sessions & Bead Swap

Come to the Library for one or both of these sessions and make your own unique earrings, necklace or bracelet! Participants who have beads they no longer use are encouraged to bring them in to swap or share with other attendees. The Library will provide some basic jewelry making supplies, such as beads and tools. Participants are encouraged to bring their own jewelry making tools (plyers) if they have them, as the Library has a limited amount.
Craft sessions will be in-person in the community room. There is no Take & Make option for this program. Registration required, spaces are limited. Please register for each session you will attend.
Musical Performance by:
Classical Guitarist, Eric Roth

Join us for a concert in our community room by classical guitarist, Eric Roth. Eric will perform the classical songs of Capirola, da Milano, Sanz and more, and will also provide information about the instrument, repertoire, composers, and history.

All are welcome to attend our Book Club! During September’s meeting, we will be discussing Maid by Stephanie Land.

Youth Art Show
September 1 - September 30
Over the summer, kids had the opportunity to pick up a mini canvas from the Library and decorate it.
See their masterpieces during our Mini Youth Art Show, on display in the children's area from Sept. 1-30.
The Great Give Back
FOOD DRIVE
September 1 - October 31
As part of the Great Give Back this fall, the Marlboro Free Library, along with other Ulster County libraries, will be collecting non-perishable food items starting now through the end of October. All items will be donated to Marlboro’s local food pantry. Non-perishable, non-expired food items can be dropped off at the Library during open hours from now until October 31.
The mission of the Great Give Back is to provide a day of opportunities for patrons of public libraries in New York State to participate in meaningful, service-oriented experiences.

Family Fall Festival & Used Book Sale
Saturday, October 15, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Join us for outdoor fun and games for the whole family including a fall story time, a special craft, a
fall raffle basket, face painting and more! Halloween costumes are encouraged!

The Book Barn will be open for the last time before closing for the season, (10am-2pm) so
stock up on your used books for the winter during the festival!
In-person registration is required. Tickets are $10 per family and are available at the circulation desk.
Rain Date: Sunday, Oct. 16, 10am-1pm.
