FAIRHILL PARTNERS

We know life does not conclude after retirement. More chapters can be written when you help write those new passages with added life and business skills. Stephanie Wright knew this, so when she retired from retail sales at AT&T, she wanted to sharpen her skills. Fairhill Partners in Cleveland gave her such an opportunity.

Stephanie heard about Fairhill Partners through a friend. She now volunteers there four days a week, staffing the reception desk 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. She answers phones, sorts mail, directs people to the desired location, accepts bill payments, makes copies and sends faxes.

Volunteering there has made her a big advocate for Fairhill Partners. “We make sure everyone who walks in is comfortable,” she says.

Stephanie also takes classes at Fairhill Partners.  “I’m getting my tools sharpened. I’m like wow!” She can now boast skills in computer programs Word and Excel, essential to business operations. “I plan on making it happen! I’m excited about adding computer skills to my resume.”

Stephanie maintains that Fairhill Partners is a good place to start after retirement. “Come and get skills and friends and get to know what’s going on in the community. All of this help is here is for you.” Stephanie sums it up nicely, “Fairhill is a variety of beings - Helping and being helped.”
