The leaves are starting to turn, the weather is a little cooler (sometimes) and football season is in full swing!  Come join us to see what you can do for Seneca High School students at our next meeting Monday, October 2, at 6:00 in the Band/Orchestra Room.  We would love to see you there.
Hall of Fame Registration

Make plans now to attend the Hall of Fame banquet this year and help us celebrate the 2017 slate of inductees.  The banquet will be held on S aturday, November 11, with a cocktail time at 6:00, dinner at 6:45 and the program at 7:30.  Attendance is $45 per person and can be purchased by check or Paypal.  Please make checks payable to Seneca Past and Present and mail to PO Box 20856 Louisville, KY 40250-0856 ATTN: HOF 2017.  If you pay by Paypal just put HOF 2017 in the memo.  There are no physical tickets but if you've reserved a seat your name will be on the attendee list at the event.  Stay tuned for a hard deadline date for purchasing your spot at the event!
Football Games

Come support the 2017 Redhawks by attending one of the remaining home football games.  Friday, September 22, at 7:00 vs Manual, Friday, September 29, at 7:00 vs. Ballard or Thursday, October 5 vs. J'town for Senior Night.  These young men deserve our support so that they know we appreciate the hard work they've put into the season.
Alumni Spotlight

This section of our newsletter is being added to highlight some big moments in the lives of our alumni.  If you know some news that we should celebrate, email us and we will get it into the newsletter!

Christina Yvonne Ernst Ellison - Class of 1994
Christina was selected as Teacher of the Year at Lemons Mill Elementary School in Scott County KY last year.  And in 2017 was selected Scott County's Elementary Teacher of the Year!  Congratulation Christina!

Jordan "KELLZ" Kelly - Class of 2013 
Jordan was featured last week on WAVE3 "Sounds of the City" a s the newest artist in the city on the rise to success!  Kellz recently released his song "HAPPINESS" which has been aired on BET's  hit series "Being Mary Jane" on September 5th.  Then on September 12 ABC chose the same song to be  played on its hit show "Somewhere Between" featuring Paula Patton.  Congratulations Jordan!

Do you have a Kroger Plus card?  Do you want to donate money to Seneca Past and Present?  Then go to our website and sign up for Kroger Community Rewards and specify Seneca Past and Present as your charity of choice!  August is sign-up month!  If you are already a member, make sure you sign up again in August.  Your contributions stop going to the charity of choice after August unless you re-specify.  Do it TODAY!
